OVERVIEW

HOW TO COMPETE

• Have a copy of KovaaK's from the Steam store
• Play the active challenge/scenario inside the KovaaK’s League playlist. You can find it on the Online Playlists tab.
• Make sure to save a video in order to be eligible for prizes/winning.

FORMAT

• Each season lasts 4 weeks with a new scenario/challenge starting every Thursday, 8PM EST.

SCORING

• Points are cumulative for an entire season. At the end of it, the player who has accumulated the most points will be declared the winner.
• Scenarios award points based on placement following the pattern:
  Rank 1 -> 100 pts
  Rank 2 -> 97 pts
  Rank 3 -> 95 pts
  Rank 4 -> 94 pts
  And so on, decreasing by 1 point until no more points are awarded for placement. In the event that two or more players achieve the same score in a scenario, they will be awarded equal points. For example, 1st (100), 2nd (97), 2nd (97), 4th (94).

Lastly, we recommend reading the rules below in their entirety. Failure to follow these rules will result in a forfeiture of points.

RULES

VIDEO-PROOF AND INVALID RUNS

Players who place top 10 in a scenario will be required to submit a video of their run satisfying the following requirements:

• Videos must be submitted within 24 hours of score submission closing.
• 60fps or higher submitted to YouTube, Streamable, or Twitch
• The following UI elements visible in the video:
  • Clock
  • Challenge Timer
  • Session Timer
  • Final score and leaderboard

In the event that a run requiring proof does not have a submission by the proof deadline, the score will be marked as invalid, removed from the scoreboard, and the relative point totals will be recalculated.

PRIZES

At the conclusion of the competition proof-submission period, the winners will be announced and prizes will be distributed.
If the competition includes a drawing, winners will be drawn from the pool of all players to submit a score on a per-scenario basis. The more scenarios a player enters, the better their odds of being selected.

CHEATING, EXPLOITING & RULES OF CONDUCT

Cheating of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to using third-party software to manipulate the game engine or game environment, altering the timescale of the system, or utilizing software or hardware to manipulate randomness in a run. Likewise, exploitation of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to intentionally causing invulnerable bots to become stuck, and altering the game physics by affecting the game’s engine.
Runs found to be cheated or exploited will be removed from the scoreboard and the offender will be disqualified from the competition. Any exploitation of the scoring system or other elements of the competition will result in disqualification. Players are expected to behave with integrity.
League admins and staff reserve the right to modify or adapt rules when appropriate to maintain fairness and a sporting environment.
Players are to maintain a spirit of fairness and fair play at all times.
Conduct that admins and staff deem unsportsmanlike, including but not limited to racist and abusive acts and speech, is not tolerated and may be subject to punishments such as forfeiture of prizes, expulsions, or other such action found appropriate.

RECORDING/STREAMING HELP

If you need help getting your recording/streaming software set up. Beebom has a complete setup guide for Nvidia's Instant Replay feature of the Geforce Experience. We strongly recommend setting your Instant Replay to at least 2 minutes to help prevent cutting off portions of your runs.
